Free workshops-

*Noon- Intro to Permaculture with Adam Pickett. Permaculture is a modern design system based in both ancient practices and current science that has the ultimate goal of helping humans design and build their habitations in a way that mimics natural ecosystems.

*1 pm- Leveraging Permaculture for Change in Your Community with Tamara McFarland and David Cobb. What can Permaculture principles teach us about how can we come together to collectively transition our community to one of ‘Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share’? We’ll share tangible examples of solutions happening here in Humboldt County.

*2 pm- Fruit Tree Grafting with Marlon Gil of Rainshine Permaculture
This introductory lecture and demonstration will cover the basic principles of grafting both new fruit trees as well as adding new varieties to existing trees. Presentation will cover tools needed, root-stock selection and multiple grafting strategies.
