Let’s Build a Seed Library

Dear Friends of the Humboldt Permaculture Guild & the annual Seed and Plant Exchange,

The North Coast Seed Library Survey is seeking responses to guide the efforts of an emerging seed library project in and around Humboldt County.

Communities across the North Coast are doing great work to improve local food systems and community health. An essential element in this web of sustenance is one dear to our hearts: seed. With the recent opening of the North Coast Growers’ Association’s Harvest Hub, a local seed library conversation has reawakened.

And so, we present the North Coast Seed Library Survey to hear your interests, needs, and input on what a local seed library project could look like. The survey is available in English and Spanish. Check out the survey to hear more and to share your voice by Friday, July 14. We are grateful for your participation and urge you to share this survey with other local community members, especially those who may have been historically silenced or under-engaged.

One lucky entry will win a $25 gift certificate to Mad River Gardens. Thank you!

In solidarity,

The Humboldt Permaculture Guild Team alongside our friends at the Organic Seed Alliance and the North Coast Growers’ Association
