Meet our Board–

Ann Anderson

Ann Anderson is one of the founders of Locally Delicious, a local non-profit working to promote food equity, and a strong local sustainable agricultural system and to help protect the environment by educating about the benefits of eating local and organic. She is a founding member of the Humboldt Food Policy Council, a Master Food Preserver, and on the Steering Committee for the new Food Hub. She has been quilting for 50 years and was a publisher of quilting books and patterns. She has a Master’s Degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and spent most of her career programming, marketing, and selling high-performance computers.

Ivy North

Ivy North is a Certified Permaculture Designer and Small Farm Master Gardener with a passion for local permaculture and small family farm communities. In their day job, Ivy has worked for the North Coast Growers’ Association for over a decade. As the Ag Programs Director for the NCGA, Ivy enjoys collaborating with partner organizations to secure funding and training for local farmers, organizing seasonal farm tour events, and offering farm business advising through a partnership with the North Coast SBDC. Ivy is also a voting member of the Humboldt Food Policy Council, the founder of the Humboldt Roots agricultural newsletter, the new North Coast Agricultural Collaborative, and an upcoming land match program. Levon Durr

Levon Durr has been a certified Permaculture Designer and teacher since 1998. He has been a teacher at numerous permaculture design courses, sharing his skills in wild food harvesting, gardening, natural building, and seed-saving. Levon offers permaculture site assessments and design. He is currently the Humboldt Permaculture director and owner of Fungaia Farm.  At Fungaia Farm, the focus is on healing the earth through mycoremediation and education, and edible mushroom production. levonriver@gmail.com

Niki Gribi

Niki Gribi has an academic background in finance and economics and more than 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations including Habitat for Humanity, California Certified Organic Farmers, EcoFarm, the Watershed Stewards Program, and Food for People. She has been an outdoor educator, a market farmer, a program coordinator, an event planner, a communications specialist, and a fruit tree pruner, as well as a parent and gardener. Niki is a long-time advocate for strong local food systems and is also currently serving as Board Treasurer for the North Coast Growers Association.

Marina Gomes

Marina Gomes is a biologist, farmer, and herbalist. She has been involved with permaculture since college in Brazil and has a passion for plants, education, and the healing arts. She and her husband have been running Blue Blossom Farm in Eureka since 2010.

Matt Drummond

Matt manages several community gardens in Eureka and coordinates the North Coast Community Garden Collaborative (NCCGC) for Redwood Community Action Agency (RCAA). He works to increase garden access to Humboldt residents and educate the public on how to grow, harvest, and preserve.  Matt looks forward to offering diverse workshops and events. You can find Matt fishing, foraging, fermenting, farming, composting, farmer’s market strolling, and biking around town.
