The 5th Annual Scion Exchange – Feb 10th, 11am to 2pm at the Bayside Community Hall.
It’s time to prep your fruit wood for the upcoming 2018 Scion Exchange. Here are some guidelines and tips for collecting scion-
-Cut only past year’s growth (no wood older than one year).
-Store in plastic bag with moistened paper in the refrigerator.
-Asian /Japanese plums and pears sap can begin to flow and flowers early so cut within the next two weeks (early January).
-Apples and European pears and plums can be cut a week or so before the exchange.
Stay tuned for workshop schedule!
