Prep your fruit wood for the upcoming Scion Exchange
Here are some guidelines and tips for collecting scion-
-Cut only past year’s growth (no wood older than one year).
-Store in a plastic bag with moistened paper in the refrigerator.
-Label well.
-Label well.
-Asian /Japanese plums and pears sap can begin to flow and flowers early so cut early January.
-Apples and European pears and plums can be cut a week or so before the exchange.
