Sunday, July 16 at 4pm
Freshwater Community Hall,  49 Grange Rd, Eureka, CA 95503

The Humboldt Permaculture Guild invites the community to a presentation by local waste diversion specialist Juliette Bohn focused on the benefits of the anaerobic digestion process as a tool for organic waste utilization, current California policy, and the synergies that can be achieved through strategic location of digesters at various sites within Humboldt County.  This free event will be hosted by the Freshwater Community Guild and will be held at the Freshwater Community Hall on Grange Rd.

Juliette Bohn is a project development consultant who helps businesses, individuals, and local governments improve their environmental performance in authentic, measurable ways with a focus on clean energy and organic waste utilization. Juliette’s interest in anaerobic digestion began while working on her master’s thesis titled “Food Waste Diversion and Utilization in Humboldt County,” which focused on strategies to convert food waste into useful products. Juliette went on to lead a U.S. EPA-funded pilot project to learn how to best establish a food waste diversion program in a variety of commercial settings. Juliette holds a M.S. degree in Environmental Systems from Humboldt State University, and served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Dominican Republic.

We hope to see you there.  And don’t forget to mark your calendars for the rest of the Humboldt Permaculture Guild’s 2017 summer event series:
